THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, EDYTHE P. WALKER, Individually and as Trustee, has
presented to the City a deed dated May 17, 1962, conveying a parcel
of real property described as:
Lot 9 and a portion of Lot 8 of the Re-Subdivision of
Block 7 of the Town of Santa Aha, together with joint
use of an easement, as per map recorded in Book 5,
Page 46, Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the
County Recorder of Orange County, State of California;
and
WHEREAS, heretofore, the City of Santa Ana adopted Resolution
No. 62-90 authorizing condemnation of the real property conveyed by
said deed, and thereafter, as a result of negotiation, under threat
of said condemnation, agreement was reached for the City to acquire
said property through an escrow at the purchase price of $60,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deed and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deed; and
directs that a certified copy of this Resolution, together with said
deed, be returned to Title Insurance and Trust Company, Escrow
No. 328468-ET, for processing and recording.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its adjourned regular meeting held on the 18th day of May, 1962.
