ISTRATOR AND GRANTING A VARIANCE ON VARIANCE APPLI-
CATION NO. 1639 FILED BY O. R. HAAN, PLYMOUTH, INC.,
SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS
WHEREAS, after hearing on Notice the Zoning Administrator de-
nied Variance Application No. 1639 filed by O. R. HAAN, PLYMOUTH,
INC. to establish a parking lot in the R-2 District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission affirmed the aforesaid action
by the Zoning Administrator; and
WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 65 was duly filed by O. R. HAAN,
PLYMOUTH, INC. requesting a hearing on said Variance Application No.
1639 before the City Council and appealing the denial of said Var-
iance by the Zoning Administrator; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing on notice,
after careful consideration of the statements contained and the ma-
terials accompanying the application, the testimony offered at the
hearing, the examination of all the facts established; and after
determining that said Variance Application meets the requirements
of Section 9250.8 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, it has been de-
termined that the Zoning Administrator's decision should be over-
ruled and that said Variance should be granted subject to certain
conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha hereby grants a Variance on Variance Application
No. 1639 to permit the establishment of a parking lot in order to
park service customers' cars and new cars being detailed for display
on the applicant's show room floor in the R-2 District on certain
land situated in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of
California and described as:
Lots 1, 2, 3 and Northerly 40 feet of Lots 10,
11, 12 of Block 3 of Lyons Addition to Santa Ana,
as recorded in Book 15, Page 49, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County

subject to conditions as follows:
1. That the applicant's engineer furnish the Department of
Public Works on-site drainage flow plan showing the direction and
flow to adjacent streets when this property is developed.
2. That an~ easement be provided for a property line radius of
15 feet at the southwest corner of Myrtle Street and Cypress Avenue.
NOTE: It is noted that Myrtle Street is existing as a 50
foot right of way.
3. That all elevations be on 1958 Orange County Survey Datum.
4. That all plans and surveys for the required improvements
be completed by the applicant's engineer and submitted to the De-
partment of Public Works for approval.
5. That all of the hereinabove conditions designated as 1, 2,
3 and 4 be complied with prior to the issuance of a building permit.
6. That all broken sidewalk on Cypress Avenue in front of
the aforesaid property be repaired in accordance with City standards.
7. That a 6 foot high solid fence be installed on the East
side of the parking area and for the full length thereof provided
that such a fence is not already in existence there.
8. That the above conditions numbered 6 and 7 be complied with
prior to the issuance of a utilities release by the Building Depart-
ment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of July, 1962.
