WHEREAS, a request for the vacation of an unnamed alley, herein described, was received and referred to the Depart-
ment of Public Works and the Planning Department, which said Departments recommended approval of the abandonment sub-
ject to certain conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby adopts the map attached hereto and orders the same
filed with the original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council; reference is hereby made to said
map for the exterior boundaries of the alley right of way proposed to be vacated.
The City Council declares its intention to proceed with this vacation under the provisions of the street Vacation
Act of 1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and Nighways Code) to vacate that certain unnamed
alley in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
An unnamed alley between Tenth and Eleventh Streets which is 12 feet in width and runs fr~m
Bush Street Westerly to a line parallel with and 45 feet East of the surveyed center line of
Main Street measured at right angles.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana maintains underground service in said alley now serving
traffic signals at the intersection of Tenth and Main Streets which requires the reservation of a utility easement to
maintain said service and all other City operated utility services in the area until such time as the adjoining land-
owners have paid for the relocation of the same together with the right to repair, replace and relocate any such City
owned utility '~structures.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That before said alley may be used by the abutting landowners provision must be made
by agreement for the completion of the work to remove the existing alley drive approach on Main Street and to install
standard curb, gutter and sidewalk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That January 21, 1963, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall,
Third and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearinE all persons interested
in or objecting to said proposed street vacation.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of
December, 1962.
