ADMINISTRATOR AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND
GRANTING VARIANCE APPLICATION NO. 1695 FILED
BY VIRGINIA M. DICKERSON, SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS
WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Zoning Adminis-
trator denied Variance Application NO. 1695, filed by VIRGINIA M.
DICKERSON to establish a commercial beauty facility in an R-2
District at 1049 West McFadden Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission affirmed the denial of said
Variance Application by the Zoning Administrator; and
WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 76 was duly filed by the
applicant requesting a hearing on said Variance Application before
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing on notice, has
determined that the Zoning Administrator and the Planning Commission
should be overruled and that said Variance should be granted subject
to certain conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby grants a Variance on Variance Application
No. 1695 to permit the property located at 1049 West McFadden Avenue
in the City of Santa AAa, County of Orange, State of California,
described as:
Lot No. 1 of Tract No. 471 as per map recorded in
Book 16, Page 44, of Miscellaneous Map Records of
said Orange County,
in an R-2 District, to be used for the establishment of a commercial
beauty facility. Said Variance is granted subject to certain
conditions,

as follows:
'l~at an easement be provided for McFadden Avenue for
a width of 42 feet, center line to property line,
including a 25 foot radius at Shelton Street for street
purposes and vehicular access rights except at street
intersections, prior to the issuance of a business
license. NOTE: Access can be determined and approved
prior to dedication.
That applicant shall provide off-street parking at such
time as parking restrictions are imposed on McFadden
Avenue.

3. That applicant's beauty facility be continued as a
one-operator shop.
