HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-057RESOL%~rION NO. 63-57 ACCEPTING A NEW DEED FROM CLARA L. SCHOCK AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A QUITCLAIM DEED FROM THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO CLARA L. SCHOCK TO CORRECT ERROR IN DESCRIPTION ON DEED ACCEPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 62-200, AND ACCEPTING A DEED FROM LIZZIE M. KIRBY, ALL WITH NO CASH CONSIDERATION WHEREAS, heretofore by Resolution No. 62-200, the City of Santa Aha accepted a deed dated November 5, 1962, from CLARA L. SCHOCK conveying an easement for street purposes on the North side of New Talbert Avenue, West of Greenville Street, in consideration of street improvement work to be done by the City at said location as per agreement between the parties; and thereafter, errors were found in the description of said deed and a new deed has been presented to the City for acceptance and a quitclaim deed for execution to said CLARA L. SCHOCK to effect a cancellation of the original deed; and WHEREAS, LIZZIE M. KIRBY has presented to the City a deed dated April 4, 1963, conveying a public utility easement on the North side of Bolsa Avenue and the East side of Maxine Street; and WHEREAS, all of said deeds are without cash consideration being paid to said grantors by the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana accepts said deeds and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council are hereby directed to execute a quitclaim deed to CLARA L. SCHOCK, quitclaiming that real property conveyed to the City of Santa Aha by deed dated November 29, 1962, and deliver the same to said owner. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of April, 1963.
