HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-064RESOLUTION NO. 63-64 RESCINDING PROTEST TO RELINQUISHMENT OF TUSTIN AVENUE IN SANTA ANA BY STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION WHEREAS, on January 7, 1963, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana adopted Resolution No. 63-8 declaring its objection to the California State Highway Ccmmutssion relinquishing portions of superceded State Highway, VII-ORA-43-SA, which were parts of Tustin Avenue, because said portions contained intersections which were considered unsafe and without traffic control lights; and WHEREAS, an Agreement has now been entered into for the signalization of said areas and the reason for the protest has ceased to exist. NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: That said Council hereby withdraws its official protest adopted by its Resolution No. 63-8 and its objection to the relin- quishment of two portions of Tustin Avenue as State Highway and hereby rescinds said Resolution No. 63-8. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of May, 1963.
