$1,619.33, THE ENTIRE BALANCE, FROM THE
ORIGINAL SANTA ANA GARDENS SANITARY DISTRICT
FUNDS TO COUNTY AUDITOR OF OBANGE COUNTY TO
APPLY ON DISTRICT BOND REDEMPTION
WHEREAS, heretofore, by annexation all of the territory within
the SANTA ANA GARDENS SANITARY DISTRICT became a part of the CITY OF
SANTA ANA, and as a result thereof said DISTRICT was dissolved and
the balance of cash on hand belonging to said DISTRICT was trans-
ferred to the CITY OF SANTA ANA; and
WHEREAS, the CITY has determined that this money should be
held in trust and used exclusively for said DISTRICT and that it
should be used over a number of years to reduce the tax rate upon
properties in the DISTRICT which produced funds for payment of
principal and interest on said DISTRICT'S bonds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the entire balance of
the cash originally transferred to the CITY OF SANTA ANAby the
SANTA ANA GARDENS SANITARY DISTRICT, the sam of $1,619.33, is hereby
ordered to be paid to the County Auditor of Orange County, California,
after July 1, 1963, and before September 1, 1963, to be credited to
the account for the payment of principal and interest due on the
bonds of the former SANTA ANA GARDENS SANITARY DISTRICT so that the
amount necessary to be raised by ad valore~ taxation from property
within the boundaries of said DISTRICT will be reduced for the
fiscal year 1963-1964.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of May, 1963.
