HAZARD AVENUE~ NEWHOPE STREET, AND SEVENTEk~fH STREET IN
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AND DEDICATION OF SAME FOR STREET
AND HIGHWAY PURPOSES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana does
hereby establish the boundary of a portion of Hazard Avenue, Newhope Street, and
Seventeenth Street in the City of Santa Ana, described as follows, and dedicates the
same for street and highway purposes:
PARCEL NO. l:
The Northerly 42 feet and the Easterly 42 feet of the following
described property:
The North Half (N.½) of the Northeast QIAax%er (N.E.~) of the Southwest Quarter (S.W.~)
of Section 9, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, County of
Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 51, Page 12 of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County.
EXCEPTING THEP~OM the Westerly 659.73 feet measured along the Northerly line thereof.
PARCEL NO. 2:
A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded Northerly and Easterly by
the Southerly line of the Northerly 42 feet and the Westerly line of the Easterly 42
feet of Parcel l, bounded Southwesterly by the arc of a curve concave Southwesterly,
having a radius of 25 feet and tangent to said Northerly and Easterly boundaries.
PARCEL NO. 3:
The Southerly 50 feet of the West 1OO feet of the following described
property; Beginning at a cross cut in the pavement on the center line of Seventeenth
Street, said cross being located 474.37 feet East of a bolt in said center line of
Seventeenth Street, said bolt marking the Southeast corner of the Bates Tract, as shown
on a map recorded in Book l, Page 96~ Miscellaneous Maps~ records of said Orange County;
running thence North 0° 44' 30" East 439.18 feet (bearing based on Seventeenth Street
as East and West) being the line described as the boundary between the lands of J. C.
Kirby and wife, and Roy Mills and wife in agreement recorded April 12, 1941, in Book
1090, Page 24 Official Records; thence East 200.3 feet to the line described as the
boundary line between the lands of Roy Mills and wife and Allison C. Honer and wife in
said agreement; thence South along said boundary line between the lands of Roy Mills
and wife, and Allison C. Honer and wife, to a point in the center line of Seventeenth
Street, marked by a cross cut in the pavement, said cross being 674.67 feet East of a
bolt in said center line of Seventeenth Street, said bolt marking the Southeast corner
of the said Bates Tract; thence West along said center line 200.3 feet to the point of
beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California
at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of September, 1963.
