ANA, DESIGNATING ANAPPROPRIATE NAME FOR SAID
TERRITORY OF "IRVINE'S SUBDIVISION ANNEXNO. 1 -
REVISED", GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING
THEREONAND RESCINDING RESOLUTION 63-153
WHEREAS, on September 3rd, 1963, the City Council adopted
Resolution 63-153 initiating proceedings for annexation of territory
under the name of "IRVINE'S SUBDIVISION ANNEX NO. 1" and set the
date for hearing protests thereto as November 4, 1963; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, the desirability of enlarging the area
of said annexation to include territory southwesterly of the center
line of Delhi (Warner Avenue) Road was agreed upon and a new map
and description so enlarged was presented to the Santa Aha Planning
Commission, which approved the same, and to the Orange County
Boundary Com~ission, which caused a report to be prepared and pre-
sented to the City finding the boundaries of said revisedmap and
description to be reasonably definite and certain as to Section 35002
of the Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha hereby initiates proceedings for annexation of said
territory,
following

herein described, to the City of Santa Ana for the
reasons:
That the said territory can best be served by the City
of Santa Aha with municipal services of the highest
quality anywhere obtainable at a cost for such services
which is lower than can be obtained anywhere else in
the County of Orange;
That it is to the mutual advantage of the City and the
land Owners that said territory become a part of said
City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares
its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act
of 1939; hereby finds and declares that said territory is uninhabited
within the meaning of Government Code Section 35303 on the date of
the adoption of this Resolution; and that said territory is contig-
uous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in the County of Orange, State
of California, and is described as:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That "IRVINE'S SUBDIVISION ANNEX
NO. 1 - REVISED" is hereby designated as an appropriate name by which
said territory shall be known for the purpose~ of this annexation, and
that Resolution 63-153 is hereby rescinded and superseded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That notice is hereby given that
November 4, 1963, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is the time
and place fixed at which said Council will hear written protests
against this annexation made by any person oWning property within said
territory. At any time prior to final adjournment of the hearing on
protests, any owner of property within the territory may file written
protest against this annexation. Such protest shall state the name of
the owner of the property affected and the street address or other
description of the property sufficient to identify it on the last
equalized assessment roll, all as provided for in California
Goverr~ent Code Section 35312.
