~-HEREAS, on the petition of abutting property owners, the
City Council adopted Resolution No. 60-262 declaring its intention
to vacate the portion of North Garnsey Street herein described,
which Resolution was published and posted as required by law; and
WI{EREAS, public hearing was duly held on the question of said
vacation on January 1~, 19~1, in the Council Chan~ers, City Hall, at
which tirae and place the owners of property abutting the portion of
North Garnsey Street in question agreed with the City of Santa Aha
that they would pay to said City the amount of $~16.00, which is the
determined value of the municipal water line leading from the water
main in Seventeenth Street to and into said portion of North Garnsey
Street, and further agreed that said owners would construct sidewalk,
curb and gutter across ~arnsey Street at its intersection on the
South side of Seventeenth Street to line up with present in place
construction and would provide for necessary drainage; and after
said hearing and a~reement the Council decided that said dedicated
street should be vacated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: ~nat the City Council of
the City of Santa Aha hereby finds that the portion~f North Garnsey
Street herein described is unnecessary for present or prospective
street purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That, in consideration of the agree-
ment hereinabove set out, the City Council hereby ma~es its order
vacating and a~andonin9 for street purposes that portion of North
~arnse~3 Street in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of
California, described as:
De9inning at a point on the South line of Seventeenth
Street as widened to ~0 feet by final decree of condemnation
rendered January 11, 1932, in Case No. 272~2 in the Superior
Court of California in and for the County of Orange, which

point is South 0° 11' A7" West 40 feet from a point in the
North line of Section 12, Township 5 South, Range 10 West,
S. E. D. ~ LI., 250.5S feet East of the intersection of said
North line with the center line of Flower Street as shown
on a map of Tract No. 7~$ recorded in Book 30, Page 9 of
tdiscellaneous ~taps, records of Orange County; thence South
O° 11' ~7" West, 120.00 feet; thence East parallel to the
South line of said Seventeenth Street 33.00 feet; thence
North 0" 11' 47" East, 120.00 feet to a point in the South
line of said Seventeenth Street; thence West along said
line 53.00 feet to the point of beginning; excepting the
North 10 feet thereof,
in so far as the same is a public street by reason of any dedication
of record shown on any instrument or map recorded or filed in the
office of the County Recorder of said Orange County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Santa Aha
at its regular meeting held on the l~th day of January, 1931.
