HomeMy WebLinkAbout61-020RESOLUTION NO. 61.-20 ORDERING VACATION OF TI~T PORTION OF SUGAI% AVENUE LYI~'G WI'I'HIN PROPOSED TRACT ~3/~B~-----------------~ 3713 ~{EPJ~AS, it became necessary to realign Sugar Avenue, and the desirability of vacating a portion of the old right of way was considered, recommended by the Public Works Department and the City Council adopted Resolution No. 61-6 declaring its intention to vacate a portion of Sugar Avenue right of way lying outside of the new street alignment; and WHEREAS, public hearing was duly held on the question of said vacation on February 8, 1961, on notice in said published ~esolution and posted notices contained; and after said hearing, the Council decided that said vacation should be effected. NOW, TH~OPJ~, BE iT RESOLVED: :l~at the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby finds that the portion of Sugar Avenue lying within proposed Tract Number 3713 and herein described is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes. BE IT F'~THEK RESOLVED: 'i~at the City Council hereby makes its order vacating and abandoning for street purposes that portion of Sugar Avenue in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: %~at portion of the Sout~h l0 acres of the West half of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 15, in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, Page 12, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said West half; and running thence Westerly along the South line of said West half, a distance of 296.99 feet to the beginning of a curve concave Southwestsrly and having a radius of 1042 feet and a radial bearing at the beginning of said curve of North 15~ 57' 53" East; thence Northwesterly along said curve to an intersection with the North line of the South 20 feet of said West half; thence Easterly along said North line to the East line of said West half; thence Southerly along said East line of said West half, a distance of 20 feet to the point of beginning, excepting the Easterly 30.00 feet. ~l- Ana at f%~ ~S~.
