THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA COVERING PORTIONS OF
THE NEWPORT FREEWAY
WHEREAS, construction is about to commence on State Route 43,
to be known as the Newport Freeway, for the section running Southerly
from Chapman Avenue in the City of Orange, and Santa Ana has annexed
territory between McFadden and the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe
Railroad right of way through which said Freeway passes; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange entered into a Freeway Agreement,
dated September 2, 1958, providing for said construction, and it is
necessary now to supplement said Agreement for the portions within
Santa Aha.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby approves the Freeway Agreement submitted
by the State of California, nominated "VII - Ora-43?SA between Santa
Ana CL at Delhi Road and Tustin CL at McFadden Street", and the ~4ayor
and the Clerk of the Council are hereby directed to execute the same
for and on behalf of the City of Santa Aha.
