TRATOR AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING
VARIANCE APPLICATION NO. 1449 FILED BY W. C. COLEMAN
WHEREAS, the Zoning Administrator,
notice,
and
Variance Application by the Zoning Administrator;
after public hearing on
denied Variance Application No. 1449 filed by W. C. Coleman;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission affirmed the denial of said
and
WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 13 was duly filed by the
applicant requesting a hearing on said Variance Application No. 1449
before the City Council; and

WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing on notice,
has decided that the Zoning Administrator and the Planning Commission
should be overruled and that said Variance should be granted upon
certain conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby
grants said Variance on Application No. 1449 to permit the property
located at 501 South Cypress Street in the City of Santa Ana, lying
in the County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Lot 1 and the Northerly 2 feet of Lot 3 in Block 2 of
Rouse and Lewis subdivision of Lyons addition to Santa
Aha as shown on a map recorded in Book 17, Page 47,
records of Los Angeles County
in an R-2 District to be used for the construction of a six-unit
apartment house. Said Variance is granted subject to conditions:
1. That the required number of off-street parking
spaces be provided.
2. That the owner improve the alley to the rear of the
property involved in this Variance in accordance with
the City of Santa Ana standards.
3. That the owner construct a standard alley approach.
4. That the owner close the existing unused drive approach
on Myrtle Street.
5. That the development be according to the submitted plot
plan.

prior to the issuance of a utilities release by
the Building Department.

Aha at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of March, 1961.
