HomeMy WebLinkAbout61-083RESOLUTION NO. 61-83 OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, OPPOSING ADOPTION OF ASSF24BLY BILL 625 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana that Assembly Bill $25 should not be adopted, should be held in Committee, and if ever brought to a vote on the floor of the Assembly, should be there defeated. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That public agencies have not so conducted themselves as to need any regulation by the State in so amending Labor Code Section 1171; that this Council does not believe that any abuse needing such correction exists in our State; that this Council certainly knows of none, and that this Assembly Bill 625 is opposed as a further attempt to unnecessarily regulate governmental agencies in a manner that cannot be excused as necessary and would be an interference with existing conditions that are entirely proper and not in need of regulation.
