THIS AMENDMENT, made and entered into this M "- "' day of April 2002, by and between Human
Options ("Consultant") and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation duly
organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"), collectively
referred to herein as "the Parties".
RECITALS
A. The Parties entered into that certain agreement entitled "Consultant Agreement" dated July 15, 2001
hereinafter referred to as "said Agreement", for providing domestic violence services.
B. The Parties hereto now desire to amend the Compensation, of said Agreement in order to in order to
provide continuous uninterrupted service under the Agreement.
WHEREFORE, in consideration of' the mutual and respective covenants and promises hereinafter
contained and made, and Subject to all of the terms and conditions of said Agreement as hereby amended,
the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows:
1. Section 2, of said agreement, pertaining to "Compensation" term of said Agreement is hereby
amended to $95,400.00 total increase of $37,795.00,
2. Except as hereinabove modified, the terms and conditions of said Agreement remain unchanged
and in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Amendment to said Agreement the
date and year first above written.

SECOND AMENDMENT TO
AGREEMENT
THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT, is entered into on October
1, 2002, by and between Human Options, a California non-profit corporation
("Consultant') and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation of the
State of California ("City").
Recitals:
A. The parties entered into an Agreement dated July 15, 2001, (hereinafter "said
Agreement") by which Consultant has provided domestic violence counseling
services.
B. Said Agreement was written with a termination date of June 30, 2002. The parties
wish to extend the termination date to provide continuous uninterrupted service and to
reflect the intent of the parties that the Agreement continue while funds are available.
Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject
to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this Second
Amendment to Agreement, the parties agree as follows:
1. Section 3, TERM, of said Agreement shall be amended to read as follows
"This Agreement shall commence on July 15, 2001 and terminate on December 31,
2002, unless terminated earlier in accordance with Section 12, below. The Parties
intend that any services provided between July 1, 2002 and October 1, 2002, be
included within the Scope of this Agreement. The term of this Agreement may be
extended upon a writing executed by the Chief of Police and the City Attorney."
2. Except as hereinabove amended, the terms and conditions of said Agreement and
First Amendment to Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
