HomeMy WebLinkAbout61-109RESOLUTION NO. 61-109 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, FAVORING THE PROPOSED ONE PER CENT MOTOR VEHICLE "IN LIEU" TAX WHEREAS, it is reported that a bill will be introduced to levy a one per cent vehicle license tax on automobiles for distribution similar to the Bradley-Burns sales tax provisions to correct county and city street deficiencies. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby favors such a one per cent tax for said put~ poses, and by this Resolution expresses its support of such legislation to the Senate Interim Committee on Transportation and to the members of the Legislature of California.
