ANA, CALIFORNIA, FAVORING THE PROPOSED ONE PER CENT
MOTOR VEHICLE "IN LIEU" TAX
WHEREAS, it is reported that a bill will be introduced to levy
a one per cent vehicle license tax on automobiles for distribution
similar to the Bradley-Burns sales tax provisions to correct county
and city street deficiencies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby favors such a one per cent tax for said put~
poses, and by this Resolution expresses its support of such legislation
to the Senate Interim Committee on Transportation and to the members of
the Legislature of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of April,
