AMENDMENT TO JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
dated October 22, 1974, Between
County of Orange and City of Santa Ana for the Purpose
Of Building an Education Center addition to the Bowers Museum

This amendment to October 22, 1974, Joint powers agreement betyeen the County of Orange and,
the City of Santa Ana is entered into thisL day of�.;J�f ��, 1975 by and be-
tween the County of Orange, hereinafter referred to as `1COIINTY" and tine City of Santa Ana
hereinafter referred to as "CITY".

TAnereas, the above parties have heretofore entered into the above referenced Joint powers
agreement dated October 22, 1974, and
Whereas, it is the mutual desire and intent of the parties to amend said Joint Powers Agree -
men', as hereinafter provided;
Now, therefore, the parties agree that paragraphs 1 & 2, page 2 of said agreement shall be
amended to read as follows --
I. An Education Center shall be constructed adjacent to the existing Bowers Museum
located at 2002 North Main Street, Santa Ana, California. The Education Center
shall consist of two (2) parcels of land with a total of 44,847 square feet and
that the facility housing th8 Education Center will be located in the one story
builidng presently known as "Bunnell Village" with a total of 9,383 square feet.
2. The project to be jointly funded shall include the purchase of land marked parcels
A & B on attached exhibit, Marked"Bxhibit Bi1 attached hereto and this reference
incorporated herein, the demolition of all buildings located on Parcel B, con-.
versions of properties for Education Center and parking lot use, and conversion of
the building on Parcel "A" known as "Bunnell Village" for use as an Education
Center and the purchase of the capital equipment which is described in exhibit
attached entitled "Education Center Capital Equipment" designated "Exhibit All
attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. The project does not
include appraisal cost, design overhead or operation and maintenance of the
Education Center, for which CITY agrees to be -responsible entirely. However,
CITY, agrees that appraisals and preliminary title documents shall be approved by
County before lands are acquired.
In Witness whereof, the parties hereto have executed this amendment to the Joint Powers
Agreement as of the day znd year first above written.
