ALIGNMENT OF SUGAR AVENUE, HARBOR BOULEVARD TO
THE SANTA ANARIVER, AS SHOWN ON EXHIBIT
PPSA NO. 03
WHEREAS, the Planning Co,.,,ission held a public hearing on
notice as required by Government Code Section 65651, and thereafter
recommended to the City Council by its Resolution No. 5510 the
adoption of a precise plan for the street alignment of Sugar Avenue
as herein set out; and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave notice of and duly held a
public hearing on said street alignment on July 17, 1961.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council finds
and determines that the public interest, necessity, convenience and
general welfare require that a precise plan to fix the street align-
ment of Sugar Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard and the East bank of
the Santa Aha River, be established, and said City Council hereby
adopts the street alignment plan of said street which is on file in
the Planning Department and in the Department of Public Works for
inspection by the public, said plan being designated as PPSA No. 03,
to establish Sugar Avenue in said area as a street 84 feet wide, being
42 feet on each side of a center line described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and
Sugar Avenue and Running North 88° 57' 10" ~ast along
said center line of Sugar Avenue 1,390 feet to the
beginning of the tangent curve concave Southwesterly
having a radius of 1,000 feet; thence Southeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 44° 30' 14"
an arc distance of 776.74 feet to a tangent line; thence
South 46° 32' 36" East 436.14 feet to the Easterly right
of way line of the Santa Aha River.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of July, 1961.
