FIRE DEPARTMENT, THE FIRE FIGHTERS FROM GARDEN
GROVE AND THE SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR
THEIR COOPERATION AND EFFECTIVENESS DURING THE
RECENT FIRE AT TIERNAN'S
WHEREAS, during the evening of August 5, 1961, a major fire
occurred at Tiernan's, 902 North Main Street, Santa Aha, California;
and
WHEREAS, the degree of cooperation and effectiveness of the
Santa Ana Fire Department and the Santa Aha Police Department in
handling the situation was outstanding and of the highest quality;
and
WHEREAS, valuable volunteered assistance was received from
firemen from the City of Garden Grove.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Santa Aha Fire
Department, the firemen of Garden Grove and the Santa Ana Police
Department are hereby commended for their cooperation, effectiveness
and conduct during said recent fire at Tiernan's.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of August, 1961.
