At City of Santa Ana Council Meeting last night, they testified over the final state of our city at press time,
using "Adopt a Resolution supporting Proposition 36" to debate obvious problems we see every day.
California does not need any more laws on morality.
We pleaded again for our money, efforts and services to go to fund our YOUTH. Valerie Amezcua has always
criminalized us. She salivates over her prison pipeline network in our city, using our Children as feed.
Valerie Amezcua is offensive to us. We see clearly the horrible blight and shame every day in our city. We've
begged for help for years. We care for each other and we love our city. We keep us safe. 3 Councilmembers
voted to protect our kids last night.
Santa Ana, you have a drug and alcohol problem. Valerie Amezcua admitted we have no detox services here.
Yet she's in the alcohol business, collecting that dough. Where's our services here? She wants to force you in
jail or a shelter. She cannot provide you with safety or care.
Wow, that's crazy our library is closed until 2026. Valerie Amezcua shut it down.
Wow, it's horrible that the pool at Memorial Park has been drained and closed all summer, enduring record
breaking heat, these poor kids out here
Valerie Amezcua had shut it down
You offer no services to our Children.

Yes, you're right we saw last night. We saw your true colors, how you've always treated our kids. We are not
criminals.
I called the city manager's office today looking for those rehabilitation resources you said are available. These
kids are dying to get in. I am still waiting for a call back.
We are not safe with Todd Spitzer.
Police brutality charges have been filed:
City of Santa Ana and City of Irvine charged with police brutality. As Community members of a protected
class, we demand immediate reparations for these injustices at the hands of Orange County law enforcement.

Subject: traffic signal at Segerstrom and Spruce; Council meeting Oct 1
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
The traffic signal at Segerstrom and Spruce has been overdue for decades. Two kids were killed at this intersection. The
intersection has been approved for a very long time, with no action to implement by the City.
Please fully fund this project, and proceed with it's implementation immediately. With the growth in the area,
the proximity of Thornton Park, the expansion of league play in the park, the latest improvements to the park, and the
pending development in the area, the need is most pressing.

Sept. 23, 2024
Mayor Amezcua and Santa Ana Councilmembers:
I am writing to respectfully request that the city revise its media policy in an acknowledgment
that photojournalists' efforts to deliver the news should not be restricted by the government.
The Orange County Register has covered the county, and especially Santa Ana, for nearly
119 years and has done so in a responsible, journalistically ethical manner. The city's policy
might be intended to help the public in some way, but it actually hurts the citizens of Santa
Ana by limiting and even dictating how stories that are important to them are told.
Our photojournalists have been assigned to cover everything from dangerous fires to high
school football games, and they are respectful of the conditions, those around them and any
safety issues involved. There is no need to restrict them to a small area at the back of the
council chambers to keep them from interfering or creating a safety hazard.
The current policy also punishes professional photographers who have advanced equipment.
If they simply shot photos off their phones, the policy would allow them to do so from the
crowd, but because they have better equipment they are restricted? That encourages a lack
of professionalism.
I'm certain this was not the intention, but the current media policy leaves the impression that
the City Council has something to hide. You serve the public to help the people of Santa Ana,
just as we serve our readers. Transparency is the best approach for all of us.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Todd Harmonson

Subject: re: prior restraint media policy
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Greetings city council and mayor,
I am submitting this comment as the chair of the legal committee for the IWW Freelance Journalists
Union (IWW FJU). Late last year, I witnessed an anti -transparency policy go into effect at what is
supposed to be one of the most transparent aspects of local democracy: open government meetings.
You are all familiar with the policy. I am curious: where did this policy come from? Who championed
this policy work? Whoever they are, they harbor authoritarian tendencies that negatively affect our
democracy. In fact, this policy of unknown origins, is a form of prior restraint. Prior restraint is one of
the most dangerous forms of censorship, a type of censorship which was not even granted to stolen
military intelligence files (the Pentagon Papers, circa Vietnam War era).
This policy strikes at the core of our democracy. To craft this policy, it would take someone who does
not understand the rule of law (see: Brown Act, US Constitution), acts in their own best interest, puts
the public's right to know after themselves and puts the city in increasing liability.
I have screenshots here from Santa Ana College students who were directly affected and suppressed
by this illegal, prior restraint policy. This is the outcome of your policy-- the suppression of college
students.
The IWW FJU will continue to advocate for the rights of journalists, both in Santa Ana and in Gaza.
Revoke this policy.

Only given two minutes to speak, this is all I could touch on. Santa Ana Special City Council Meeting FYI
September 23, 2024
My name is Jackie Cordova
I am a Mother of Santa Ana
I did not see this special meeting publicized,
There is no one here from the Community there is no quorum here. They're basically talking only to themselves.
You also lost the Juneteenth event.
I came to speak directly with the Community
I did come to speak on item 24 and the land value based on 60 parking spaces.
I came as a reminder of how the City of Santa Ana is out of order.
Santa Ana is a sanctuary city, a holy city. We are a protected class of citizens under her umbrella.
In 2017 SANTA ANA RESIDENTS AGAINST CORRUPTION stood up to the criminals in our city and
started cleaning house by recalling our corrupt mayor, Miguel Pulido.
One year ago in October 2023, their own Police Chief, David Valentin suddenly announced his retirement citing
"corrupt and compromised politicians" and "compromised staff' in his parting remarks to employees. City
Manager Kristine Ridge also quickly walked away with her hush -money settlement due to a toxic work
environment, all of this orchestrated by Valerie Amezcua, who we know is beholden to the POA - the police
officer association union that pays for her spot there.
Regarding the value of the land at 3rd and Main, we did find out Why Your Rents Are So High
The Justice Department is Suing RealPage Over an AI -Powered Scheme to Hike Rents
The Department of Justice & 8 states, including California, are suing RealPage, alleging their Al rent -setting
software algorithms has inflated rents across the country" in favor of greedy corporate landlords.
Those here on the council who oppose rent control and receive contributions from those same special interests
are Councilmembers Phil Bacerra, David Penaloza, and Mayor Valerie Amezcua.
Just so you know. Thank you,
Jackie Cordova

Hello, I wanted to address the situation with people parking their vehicles and taking up double spaces or putting cones
or chairs or anything that can block from anyone to be able to park on the spots it is unacceptable dangerous and
straight reckless, when it comes to reserving parking, there are a few residents out in this area where they have five or
more vehicles that are all been covered in different spots that don't allow anyone to be able to get some type of space
and these are the reasons why we have issues with Parking and that needs to be addressed. Our address is 1722 N Bush
St Santa Ana Ca 92706 and this issue does not come from just our area. It is all over the city and there has to be
ordinances to come back. These reserving of parking and people should be held accountable for that.

2024 Elections 9/29/2024
Former Republican President Donald Trump on Sunday called for "one real rough, nasty" and "violent day" of police
retaliation in order to eradicate crime "immediately."
Trump says `violent day' of policing will end crime
The remarks at a campaign rally Sunday did not amount to a policy proposal allowing police retaliation, the former
president's campaign said.

Seven years ago today October 1st 2017 hundreds of Californians were killed or injured in the Route 91 Harvest Festival
mass shooting in Las Vegas Nevada. We continue to pray for all those affected by this senseless tragedy and we pray for
answers as we unroot the corruption in this sick demonic false flag charade orchestrated by Republican Janet Nguyen,
who used our police department in their demonic event touted as "the deadliest mass shooting in American history". A
moment of silence.
For that attack on our Community and police officers, Janet Nguyen is not welcome here in Orange County.
