DIVISION OF (HIGHWAYS, AND FOR AN ADVANCE PAE~ENT THEREON

WHEREAS, Santa Ana has an approved Arterial Highway Financing
Project for the widening of North Main Street and, as a necessary
part of said project the bridge over Santiago Creek must be widened;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana approves the preparation of plans, specifica-
tions and cost estimate For the widening of the Main Street Bridge
over Santiago Creek in the City of Santa Aha by the Bridge Department
of the Division of Highways of the State of California, md requests
said Department to perfo~ said york and to complete said work in
sufficient time to allow for advertising, inviting bids for such

construction by J.~ne 20, 960,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said City Council approves pre-
payment of $7,500.00 to said Bridge Department, smd will pay the
actual cost of said plans, specifications and estimate upon the
submission to City of ac.tu~ cost data. It is estimated that the
total work cost will be $90,000.00.
