Home My WebLink About60-059RESOLUTION NO. 60-~9 'INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESIG- NATINGANAPPROPRIATE NAME OF "SOUTH SANTA ANAANNBX NO. 5" ~O~ ~AID TERRITORY, AND GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THBREON WHEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory herein described, a description and a map of said territory were presented to the ~nta and Planning CO~aission, and said co~mission approved the annexation of said territory, and said description and map were presented t? the B~undary Co~aission of Orange County, California, and said Boundary C~ission caused to be prepa=edka re- port finding the proposed boundaries to be reasonably definite and certain. NOW, THERBFORE, BE IT ~BSOLVED~ That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings ; for annexation of said territory herein described, to the City of Santa And for the following reasons= 1. That the area can best be served by the City of Santa -' 2. That it ia ;to the mutual ~dvantage of the land owners and the City o~ Santa Ana that said territory become a ~art of the city of Santa And. BE iT FURTHER RESOLVED~ That "South Santa And Annex No. 5" is hereby designated as an appropriate name by which eaid territory shall be known for the purpose of this annexation. BB IT FURTHER RESOLVED= ~ That notice is hereby given that May 9, 1960, at the hour of 5=00 P.M. in the Coul~cil Cl~mbers, City Hall, 3rd and Main Streets, Santa And, California, is the time and place ; fixed at which said council will hear protests against this annexation made by any person ownin~ property within said terri- tory. At any time before said hour any owner of property within said territory may file written protest against this proposed annex- ation. Suah protest shall state the name of the owner of the prop- erty affected and the description and area of the property in gen- eral terms, all as provided for in section 35312 of the Government CC<la of the State of California.
