RESOLUTION NO. 60-73 GRANTING VARIANCE ON
APPLICATION NO. 1243 FILED BY ANNA P. JENSEN
WHERE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission after public hearing,
on notice, has recommended denial of Variance Application
No. 1243, and the City Council after consideration has found
that the health and welfare of the citizens of the City of Santa
Ana will be benefited by the use of the hereinafter deecribed
property for a parking lot and has decided that said variance
should be granted upon said conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
hereby grants a Variance on Application No. 1243 to permit the use
of property known and numbered as 1813 and 1817 West Sixteenth
Street, Santa Aha, California, lying in the County of Orange, State
of California, described as:
1813 West Sixteenth Street, Santa Aha, California
A.P. 4-042-17; South 126.31 feet of the North 266.31
feet of Lot 3, Record of Survey 3-7.
1817 West Sixteenth Street, Santa Aha, California
A.P. 4-042-18; South 125.20 feet of the North 265.20
feet of Lot 2, Record of Survey 3-7.
in an R-2 District, to be used for a parking lot. Said Variance
is hereby granted upon the conditions that:
(1)
The rights of ingress and egress to Sixteenth Street
be dedicated to the City; it being understood that
there shall not be any granting back of the rights
of ingress and egress.
(2) A six foot high cement block fence shall be con-
structed along the setback line.
(3)
The area and the parkway between the sidewalk and
setback line shall be planted with appropriate land-
scaping plants and that said area and parkway be
maintained.
(4)
That a sprinkler system shall be installed for the
maintenance of said plantings in said area herein-
before described.
(5) A six foot high cement block fence shall be con-
structed on the West ~ide of the lot.
(6) The area shall be completely blacktopped.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby grants
a Variance on Application No. 1243 to permit the use of property
known and numbered as 1832 West Seventeenth Street, Santa Aha,
California, lying in the County of Orange, State of California,
described as:
1832 West Seventeenth Street, Santa Ana, California
A.P. 4-042-09 Portion of Lot 2, Record of Survey 3-7.
in a C-iPK District in conformity with the C-1PK uses except that
the ten foot required setback in the rear of said lot is hereby
waived. Said Variance is hereby granted upon the conditions that:
(1)
A street easement for the~Ull width of the property
involved along Seventeenth Street measured 52 feet
in width South of and at right angles to the center-
line of Seventeenth Street shall be dedicated to
the City.
(2)
A drive of not less than 10 feet in width along the
West side of this Seventeenth Street lot shall be
built An order to afford better access to the
parking lot.
BE IT FURTHER PROVIDED: That all conditions herein pro-
vided are necessary requirements for the Variance and said Variance
shall not be separable and applicable to any specific parcel of
property hereinbefore described.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of April, 1960.
