JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR SANTA ANAMEMBEB~HIP
IN THE "FILM COUNCIL FILM CIRCUIT" AND NAMING
HOWARD KENDALL SAMUELSON AS THE SANTA ANA REPRE-
SENTATIVE ON THE MANAGEMENT COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, there was heretofore created a group of cities,
counties, and public agencies for the purpose of buying, leasing,
or acquiring films and other audio-visual material to be circu-
lated among the libraries of the members; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined to be desirable for the
City of Santa Ana to acquire membership in said organization, and
with membership it is necessary that said City designate a member
to the MAnagement Commission of said group.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa
Ana hereby authorizes its Mayor and Clerk of the Council to exe-
cute that certain instrument designated "JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT"
for and on behalf of said City and to submit a certified copy of
this Resolution together with the original and nine executed
counterparts of said Agreement to the Film Council Film Circuit
Commission for approval of Santa Ana membership.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That HOWARD KENDALL SAMUELSON,
the Santa Aha City Librarian, is hereby designated as the member
of said Commission appointed by the City Council to represent the
City of Santa Ana on said Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of June, 1960.
