AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF WIDENING THE
BRIDGE ACROSS SANTIAGO CREEK ON NORTH MAIN
STREET AND DECLARING THE NECESSITY THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, bridge across Santiago Creek at North Main Street as
it now exists, is inadequate in width to accommodate the flow of
traffic presently using said street:
NOW THERE?ORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana does hereby find and determine that public interest
and necessity require that said bridge be widened and improved, and
further require that said City do have, take and acquire easements
for street purposes over, through and across certain lands in the
City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, des-
cribed as:
An easement for street purposes over the Westerly 12.00 feet
of Lot 11 in Block B of Tract No. 315, Owens Subdivision,
in the City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded
in Book 14, page 49, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California.
Excepting the Northerly 33.60 feet.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the public interest, necessity
and convenience require and it is hereby ordered that the City of
Santa Ana, a Municipal Corporation, Plaintiff in the condemnation
action ordered herein, take immediate possession and use of the
property herein ordered to be acquired upon complying with the
requirements of the law applicable thereto, that the City Attorney
report to the Director of Finance the amount of money required
thereof, and that the Director of Finance shall deposit said amount
with the Clerk of the Court.
BE IT FURTHUER RESOLVED, That the said action for condemnation
of said property so to be acquired shall be taken in accordance with
the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure and Constitution of
the State of California relating to eminent domain.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of June . 1960.
