CDa ��et� r FIRST AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICES OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND
CITY OF SANTA ANA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT to the above -referenced memorandum of understanding is entered
into on January 07, 2025, by and between Lutheran Social Services of Southern California
("Subrecipient"), and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation organized and
existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of California through its Community
Development Agency ("City" or "Community Development Agency"). City and Subrecipient shall
hereinafter singularly be referred to as "Party" and collectively as "Parties."
A. The Parties entered into MOU #N-2024-297 ("MOU") to establish a cooperative working
relationship between the Parties in order to provide program beneficiaries with low -barrier -
to -entry domestic violence victim services in Orange County through the Victim Intervention
Program.
B. The MOU commenced on September 1, 2024 and runs through June 30, 2025, with the option
for the City to grant up to two (2) one (1) year renewals. The MOU is current and in -effect.
C. The parties now wish to amend the MOU to update the term of the MOU through the
remainder of calendar year 2025, and maintain the extensions, as defined by the MOU. The
Parties do not contemplate any other amendment to the terms of the MOU.
The Parties therefore agree:
l . Section 4, DURATION, is hereby amended to read:
This MOU shall commence on September 1, 2024, and shall remain in effect through
December 31, 2025, with the option for the City to grant up to two I -year renewals,
exercisable by a writing by the City Manager and City Attorney, unless terminated earlier in
accordance with Section 10 below.
2. Except as modified by this First Amendment all terms and conditions of the MOU shall
remain in full force and effect.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this First Amendment to the
MOU on the date and year first written above.
