RESOLUTION NO. 60-189 GRANTING VARIANCE APPLICATION
NO. 1373 ON APPEAL APPLICATION NO. 3
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a hearing on Variance
Application No. 1373, filed by Ruth B. Harmer, and denied said
Variance, which denial was appealed to and heard by the City Council
October 3rd, 1960.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council finds
said Variance should be granted to permit the construction of a six
bachelor-unit apartment house that would project into the front and
side yard set back areas on property located, known and numbered as
412 Vance Street, Santa Ana, with the following conditions:
That no portion of the building be any closer than
fifty feet to the centerline of Lacy Street; that is,
that a ten foot front yard set back be maintained, and
that no portion of the building be any closer than
forty-three feet from the centerline of Vance Street,
or that a three foot side yard be maintained.

That a three-car garage, a two-car garage and three
paved parking area pads be constructed and maintained
on said property for off-street parking.
That said Variance be subject to all conditions recom-
mended by the Planning and Public Works Departments;
that is, Public Works Department's requirements as
follows:
a. The owner replace existing drive approach
with standard drive approach.
b. The owner replace Easterly side of drive approach
to alley with standard drive approach.
c. The owner improve the alley along the property in-
volved in this Variance.

Ail the above conditions be complied with prior to
issuance of a utilities release by the Building
Department.
