HomeMy WebLinkAbout60-191RESOLUTION NO. 60-191 ACCEPTING DEEDS WHERE THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION WHEREAS, LeROY G. ROWRAY, as the duly appointed, qualified and acting Executor of the Last Will and Testament of MARGARET J. OEHRLEIN, deceased, has presented to the City a deed dated September 19, 1960, granting to the City a parcel of real property located in the Santa Ana Civic Center area and described as follows: Lot Eleven (11) of "Visel's Addition", as per map thereof recorded in Book 3, at page 17, of Miscel- laneous Maps, records of said Orange in consideration of the payment of $13,800.00. Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 45246-F with the Security Title Insurance Company, 825 North Broadway, Santa Ana, California; and WHEREAS, LYLE C. BLYSTONE and OLIVE G. BLYSTONE have presented to the City a deed dated August 29, 1960, conveying an easement for street purposes on the Northeast corner of First Street and Fairview Avenue in consideration of the payment of $4,803.20. Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 44741-C with the Security Title Insurance Company, 825 North Broadway, Santa Ana, California; and dated September 22, 1960, conveying an easement for street purposes on the South side of Central Avenue, East of Evergreen Street, without the payment of cash consideration for the prope~y, but with the consideration of the payment of the sum of $52.66 representing the total payments of principal and interest made by said Esther Trujillo upon a Special Assessment Bond for the cost of improvements immedi- ately adjacent to the property being conveyed and acquired, and with the City assuming the obligations represented by the unpaid portion of the Special Assessment Bond for the improvements immediately adjacent to said property being acquired in the amount of $225.20; also City is to pay said Esther Trujillo the sum of $186.85, said amount representing the fair market value of a fence, shrubs, and -1- all improvements that said seller has heretofore placed upon the property being conveyed. Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 45312-C with the Security Title Insurance Company, 825 North Broadway, Santa Aha, California; and WHEREAS, RAFAEL P. GOMEZ and DELORES RODRIGUEZ GOMEZ have / presented to the City a deed dated September 22, 1960, granting to the City an easement for street purposes over the North side of Central Avenue, East of Evergreen Street, without the payment of cash consideration for the property, but with the consideration of the payment of the sum of $53.1~ representing the total payments of principal and interest made by said Rafael P. Gomez and Delores Rodriguez Gomez upon a Special Assessment Bond for the cost of improve- ments immediately adjacent to the property being conveyed; also City agrees to assume the obligations represented by the unpaid portions of the Special Assessment Bond for the improvements immediately ,adjacent to the property being acquired in the amount of $227.30. The City also agrees to pay the grantors the sum of $85.00~ said amount representing the fair market value of any and all improvements that the seller has heretofore placed upon the property being conveyed. Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 45311-C with the Security Title Insurance Company, 825 North Broadway, Santa Ana, California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana accepts said deeds and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
