RESOLUTION ~O. 60-2-ll O~ERI~G THE VACATION OF
A PUBLIC SERVICE T~ASF~iEN'i1 RUi~/.I~I~G NORTH ~RO~
~EREAS, on September 19, 1960, the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 60-179 declaring its intention to vacate a public
service easement for a sewer line, Cnich said kesolution describing
the easemen~ was published and posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held on November 7, 1960,
~upon due notice in said Resolution and said posted notices contained.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that
the public service easement herein described is unnecessary for
present or prospective sewer line purposes or other public purposes
for the reason that said easement and contained sewer line existed
in the middle of private property and under two buildings, and
property owner has deeded to the City a substitute public sewer
easement along the Westerly boundary line of said property as an en-
largement of the existing storm drain easement and has caused the
construction of a new sanitary sewer connected into the East and
West sewers in the Second, Third and Fourth Street alignments, so
that said sewer easement is no longer necessary for its original
purpose and its use has been discontinued for approximately three
months.
That for these reasons and primarily because said easement
and the sewer line have been replaced by a now existing in-use
sewer, said City Council hereby makes its order vacating and aban-
doning said public service easement for sewer line and such other
purposes as the substitute easement shall serve, and said easement
is in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
and described as:
A strip of land 14 feet in width, being 7 feet on each
side, measured at right angles from the following described
line:

Beginning at a point on the center line of First Street
in the City of Santa Aha which bears South 89° 29' 00" West
1031.34 feet from the monumented intersection of the center
lines of said First Street and Daisy Street and running
thence North 00° 07' 00" West 878.86 feet; thence North 89°
28' 30~' West 40.00 feet, said 14 foot strip being bounded
Southerly by a line which is parallel with and 52 feet
Northerly, measured at right angles, from said center line
of First Street.
Excepting therefrom that portion thereof lying within a
strip of land 20 feet in width, the center line of which is
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the Westerly
extended center line of West Second Street with the %'~esterly
line of Townsend Street as shown on a map of the Fisher Tract,
filed in ~4iscellaneous ~ap book 4, Page 90, ~ecords of Orange
County,California; and running thence ?~esterly in a straight
line parallel to said %~est ~irst Street to a point 1100 feet.
Also excepting therefrom that portion thereof lying within
a s~rip of land 20 feet in width, the center line of which is
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the Westerly ex-
tended center line of ~est Third Street with the Westerly
line ~ ~ownsend Street as shown on a map of the Fisher ?ract,
filed in ~iscellaneous i,~ap Book 4, Page 90, Records of Orange
County, California; and running thence Westerly in a straight
line parallel to said West First Street to a point 1100 feet.
