HomeMy WebLinkAbout66-017RESOLUTION 66-17 MODIFYING CONDITIONS IMPOSED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION IN GRANTING VARIANCE ON APPLICATION NO. 2200 FILED BY HAROLD GRIFFIN WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Planning Commission has granted a variance on Variance Application NO. 2200, filed by HAROLD GRIFFIN to permit the use of R-2 property at 113 North Gunther Street, Santa Ana, California, for off-street parking; said Variance was granted subject to certain conditions; and WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 172 was duly filed by the applicant appealing the requirement that the existing building on the subject property be removed and presenting the matter to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after hearing, has determined that said Variance should be granted, but that the building should be allowed to remain on the property and that the only access be from the alley. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the conditions imposed by the Planning Commission in the granting of a variance on Variance Application No. 2200 are hereby modified to read as follows: That the applicant submit a revised plot plan; said plan to be approved by the Planning Department and development be according to plot plan except for minor modifications approved by the Planning Department. 2. That Section 9247.1 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code (Dimensions of Parking Area and Access) be complied with. 3. That Section 9247.2 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code (Maintenance and Operation) be complied with. 4. That the landscaping indicated in the plot plan be implemented and maintained. 5. That the subdivider submit street improvement plans for Gunther Street. 6. That all elevations be on 1958 Orange County Survey Datum. o That all plans and surveys for the required improvements be completed by the owner's engineer and submitted to the Department of Public Works for approval. That the owner place curb, gutter and sidewalk and pave up to the edge of existing pavement on Gunther Street. The new curb and gutter to be placed 18 feet east of the center of Gunther Street. e That use of existing building be limited to storage, that the rear door be closed, and that the only access be from the alley, and that the building be allowed to remain only during the existance of this variance or the life of the building, whichever is shorter, or until the encroachment on the alley is required to be removed.
