CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, RUDY H. LUNA and ALICE LUNA have delivered to the
City a deed dated January 12, 1966, conveying an easement for street
purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, east of English Street,
in consideration of the sum of $185.00 and certain remedial work to
be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 873655-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, GUILLERMO H. CASARES and ISABEL G. CASARES have
delivered to the City a deed dated January 13, 1966, conveying an
easement for street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, east
of Townsend Street, in consideration of the sum of $175.00 and certain
remedial work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be
handled through Escrow No. 873649-hrb with First American Title
Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, LI HSAIN CHANG has delivered to the City a deed
dated January 18, 1966, conveying an easement for street purposes
on the south side of Eighth Street, west of Fairlawn Street, in
consideration of the sum of $705.00 and certain remedial work to be
done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow
No. 873652-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company,
Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, HECTOR GODINEZ and MARY GODINEZ have delivered to
the City a deed dated January 20, 1966, conveying a parcel of real
property on the south side of Eighth Street, west of Western Avenue,
in consideration of the sum of $11,250.00; said transaction is to be
handled through Escrow No. 873647-hrb with First American Title
Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, BERNICE C. FOSTER has delivered to the City a deed
dated January 21, 1966, conveying an easement for street purposes on
the south side of Eighth Street, west of Daisy Avenue, in consideration
of the sum of $120.00 and certain remedial work to be done by the
City; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 873670-hrb
with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Aha,
California; and
WHEREAS, GABINO C. MARTINEZ and NETTIE E. MARTINEZ have
delivered to the City a deed dated January 20, 1966, conveying an
easement for street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, west
of English Street, in consideration of the su~n of $1,205.00 and
certain remedial work to be done by the City; said transaction is to
be handled through Escrow No. 873645-hrbCwith First American Title
Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Aha, California; and
WHEREAS, RAMON LOPEZ has delivered to the City a deed dated
January 12, 1966, conveying an easement for street purposes on the
south side of Eighth Street, west of Raitt Street, in consideration
of the sum of $1,015.00 and certain remedial work to be done by the
City; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 873660-hrb
with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Aha,
California; and
WHEREAS, ISAAC E. CURTIS and IONIA CURTIS have delivered to
the City a deed dated Januaryl3, 1966, conveying an easement for street
purposes at the southwest corner of Eighth Street and Fairlawn Street
in consideration of the sum of $2,040.00 and certain remedial work
to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 873662-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, BANK OF AMERICA NATIONAL TRUST AND SAVINGS
ASSOCIATION, Trustee, has delivered to the City a deed dated
December 10, 1965, conveying an easement for drainage purposes
and a temporary easement to be used in conjunction with the
construction of a drainage channel located on the east side of
the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way, north of St. Gertrude
Place, in consideration of the sum of $1,460.00; said temporary
easement shall expire not later than June 30, 1967. This transaction
is to be handled through Escrow No. 873602-hrb with First American
Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, LUPE LOZANO and ROSALIE LOZANO have delivered to
the City a deed dated January 8, 1966, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, east of English
Street, in consideration of the sum of $514.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 873657-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Aha, California; and
WHEREAS, ANTANACI CUMPIAN and CARMEN RAMIREZ have delivered
to the City a deed dated January 29, 1966, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, east of Daisy
Street, in consideration of the Sum of $290.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled
through Escrow No.873650-hrb with First American Title Insurance &
Trust Company, Santa Ana, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of February, 1966.
