TO BEAR STRE~r; AND CHANGING THE NAME
OF WArM AVENUE, FROM BEAR STREET TO
FAIRVIEW AVENUE; AND CHANGING THE NAME
OF HUNTZINGER AV~IUE FROM FAIRVIEW
AVENUE TO THE SAItTA ANA RIVER; ALL TO
SUNFLOWER AVENUE
WHEREAS, it has been the City's policy to provide for the
continuity of street names so that confusion will not exist when what
could appear to be a continuance of the same street would have a different
name; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City to cooperate with the
Planning Co~mnission of the City of Costa Mesa, and with the Orange County
Street Naming Con~nittee, in achieving continuity of street names;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Sunflower Avenue as it
exists between South Main Street and Bear Street in the City of Santa Aha
be and the same is hereby changed to SUNFLOWER AVENUE;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Wakeham Avenue as it exists
between Bear Street and Fairview Avenue in the City of Santa Ana be and
the same is hereby changed to SUNFLOWER AVENUE;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Huntzinger Avenue as it exists
between Fairview Avenue and the Santa Aha River in the City of Santa Aha
be and the same is hereby changed to SUNFLOWER A¥~AI~E.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha
at its regular meeting held on the ISth day of Apri~ 1966.
