GRANT DEEDS GRANTING CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY
IN THE CIVIC CENTER AREA TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
CIVIC CENTER AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, heretofore, the Orange County Civic Center Authority
was duly created by an agreement entitled "Joint Exercise of Powers
Agreement Between the City of Santa Aha and the County of Orange
Creating the Orange County Civic Center Authority", and to carry
saidAgreement into effect and to comply with the terms thereof,
it is now necessary that the City execute three deeds granting
property to the Orange County Civic Center Authority and authorize
and execute, as lessee, three leases, each nominated "Civic Center
Lease", whereby said property is leased back to the City for City
use, operation, and maintenance at $1.00 per year in each case.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute those
certain three deeds: the first, conveying property bounded on the
east by Flower Street, on the north and the south, respectively, by
Eighth and Sixth Streets, and on the west by a line parallel with
Shelton Street at one lot depth easterly thereof; the second, bounded
on the east by Ross Street, on the north ang south, respectively, by
Eighth and Sixth Streets, and on the west by a line which is parallel
to and distant westerly from the west property line of Ross Street,
412 feet, more or less; and the third, twelve lots, acquired as
thirteen parcels, scattered in a four-block area bounded on the east
by Ross Street, on the south by Fourth Street, on the west by Patton
Street, and on the north by Sixth Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the
Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute those certain
three Civic Center Leases for and on behalf of the City whereunder
the City is taking, as lessee, from the Orange County Civic Center
Authority exactly the same property that was conveyed by the three
grant deeds hereinabove referred to.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council is
directed to file copies of said deeds and copies of said Leases with
this Resolution and to deliver a certified copy of this Resolution,
together with said three deeds and said three Leases, when executed
by the City, to the Orange County Civic Center Authority for execution
by it, recording of said deeds, and return to City of executed copies
of said Leases.
