ON THE NORTH SIDE OF EIGHTH STREET AT EL SALVADORE
PARK TO BE A PUBLIC STREET AND HIGHWAY IN SANTA ANA,
CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City is in the process of widening Eighth Street
to accommodate increasing traffic flow;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That certain real property
in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
described as:
That portion of the Jacob Ross Allotment, described as follows:
Beginning at a point 803.2 feet West of the intersection of the
West line of Raitt Street, formerly Artesia Street, with the North
line of Eighth street, formerly Hickey Street, said North line
being parallel~ith and 25.00 feet North, measured at right angles,
from the center line of Eighth Street, and as said Westerly line
of Raitt Street existed prior to September 1, 1924, being parallel
with and 25.00 feet Westerly, measured at right angles, from the
center line of Raitt Street; thence East along the North line of
Eighth Street 702.8 feet; thence North parallel with the West line
of Raitt Street 125.0 feet; thence West parallel with the North
line of Eighth Street 29.6 feet; thence North parallel with the
West line of Raitt Street 549.6 feet, more or less, to the South
line of Tenth Street as said Street is shown on Tract No. 1899,
recorded in Book 55, page 41, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California; thence West along the South line of
Tenth Street 667.39 feet, more or less, to the Northeast corner
of that certain tract of land conveyed to J. H. Young by deed
recorded December 10, 1903 in Book 98, page 198 of Deeds; thence
South parallel with the West line of Raitt Street 681.86 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning.
Included~ within the following described strip of land 80.00 feet
in width, the center line of said strip being described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Eighth Street,
55.00 feet in width, with the center line of Raitt Street, 60.00
feet in width, thence South 89 o 52' 00" West along said center
line of Eighth Street 78.40 feet; thence northwesterly to a point
in a line parallel with and distant 25.00 feet Easterly measured
along said center line of Eighth Street from the Northerly
prolongation of the center line of Daisy Avenue, 50.00 feet in
width, said point being distant Northerly along said parallel line
10.00 feet from said center line of Eighth Street; thence South
89° 52' 00" West parallel with said center line of Eighth Street
303.56 feet,
is hereby declared to be a public street and highway to become a part
of Eighth Street in the City of Santa Aha, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of May, 1966.
