TO VACATE THAT PORTION OF MAYWOOD AVENUE RIGHT OF WAY
LYING EAST OF YALE STREET, AND GIVING NOTICE OF
PROTEST HEARING THEREON
WHEREAS, a request for the vacation of that portion of Maywood
Avenue right of way lying east of Yale Street has been received by
the City Council and the Planning Commission and the Department of
Public Works have recommended approval of said street vacation to
facilitate future property development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders
the same filed with the original of this Resolution in the office of
the Clerk of the Council and reference is hereby made to said map
for the exterior boundaries of said right of way proposed to be
vacated.
The City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed
under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (§8300 through
§8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to vacate that
certain portion of Map-wood Avenue right of way lying east of Yale
Street, in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows:
That portion of Tract No. 3236 as shown on a map recorded in
Book 189, Pages 23 through 27, inclusive, of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California shown as "Maywood Avenue",
lying easterly of the Southerly prolongation of the tangent
portion of the westerly line of Lot 32 of said Tract No. 3236.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That June 6, 1966, at the hour of
7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets,
Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
street vacation.
The Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish this
Resolution once in the Register, and the Director of Public Works is
ordered to post notices of street vacation conspicuously along the
line of said street stating the passage of this Resolution of
intention to vacate and the time and place of hearing thereon. Said
notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least
three (3) such notices shall be posted. Both publication and posting
shall be completed at least ten (10) days before the date of hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of May, 1966.
