CONTRACT AND ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED FROM HUGH J. LOWE
AND WILMA LOWE FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR
CIVIC CENTER PROJECT NO. 401
WHEREAS, the Department of Real Property Services of the
County of Orange, acting for and on behalf of the City of Santa Aha,
has negotiated and conditionally delivered to the City a Real Property
Contract and deed, executed by HUGH J. LOWE and WILMA LOWE as grantors,
which will convey to the City real property on the north side of Fourth
Street and the east side of Van Ness Avenue, designated in said
Contract as Parcel No. 203, and which provides for the payment of
$65,625.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Real Property Contract for the City; that the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deed and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance thereon.
The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to issue his
warrant in the amount of $65,625.00 to the grantors or their assigns
and to deliver the same when title to said property has been obtained
by the City, on notice from said Department of Real Property Services.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of June, 1966.
