CITY IS PAYING NO CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, CLARENCE C. HUMPHRIES, LORENE HUMPHRIES, FRANCIS W.
HUMPHRIES, and ELBERTA L. HUMPHRIES, and GILBERT K. RANNEY as Executor
of the Estate of K. W. RANNEY, deceased, have executed a deed dated
June 1, 1966, conveying to the City of Santa Ana an easement for
street purposes on the north side of McFadden Avenue, west of Harbor
Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, C. W. HESTER, ROBERT F. BEAUCHAMP, and ARTHOR E..
SVENDSEN have executed a deed dated May 5, 1966, conveying to the
City of Santa Ana easements for street purposes for Central Avenue,
west of Bristol Street; and
WHEREAS, LONG BEACH LEASING CORPORATION, a California
corporation, has executed a deed dated May 23, 1966, conveying to City
vehicular access rights on the south side of Warner Avenue, 209 feet
west of Fairview Street; and
WHEREAS, ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT, a body corporate
and politic, has executed a deed dated May 17, 1966, conveying to
the City of Santa Ana an easement for street purposes on the north
side of SegerstrOm Street at the F-2 Channel; and
WHEP~F21S, ARTHUR C. DAVIS and VIRGINIA H. DAVIS have executed
a deed dated June 10, 1966, conveying to the City an easement, for
street purposes on the east side of Grand Avenue, 296 feet south of
Chestnut Avenue; and
WHEREAS, S. B. EDWARDS and LILLIAN M. EDWARDS, have executed
a deed dated May 20, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for
street purposes and a spandrel shaped parcel of land at the northwest
corner of Seventeenth Street and Baker Street; said transaction is
with no cash consideration, the consideration being that the city
will do, or have done, all work necessary in re the widening of
streets at City's expense as set forth in Escrow NO.52733-C (revised)
with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, all of said deeds are without cash consideration
being paid to said grantors by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa
Ana accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated
agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of June, 1966.
