CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA,
CALIFORNIA, ON JUNE 7, 1966
WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance NS-838 called a special
election to be held in the City of Santa Ana on June 7, 1966, to
submit to the electors of said City certain propositions proposing
amendments to sections of the Charter of the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEP~AS, the propositions voted on at said election were in
words and figures as follows:

WHEREAS, a copy of the records as entered on the minutes of
the Board of Supervisors of Orange County showing the results of
the canvass of the returns of said special election and absentee
votes cast thereat has been duly received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby
finds, determines and declares that the votes cast at said special
election for and against said propositions and the absentee ballots
cast for and against said propositions show the ottal of all votes
cast on each of said propositions and the total of said votes for
and against each of said propositions to be, and said totals are, as
follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Propositions 2, 5, 6, and 7
failed to receive the affirmative vote of a majority of the electors
voting thereon and said four Propositions are hereby declares to
have failed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of August, 1966.
