BETWEEN WALNUT AND PINE STREETS
WHEREAS, Patton Street between Walnut Street and Pine Street
dissects the campus of the Santa Aha High School; and
WHEREAS, through traffic on Parton Street on the campus of the
Santa Aha High School endangers the safety of high school students
and personnel when traversing the campus; and
WHEREAS, this patently hazardous condition can be corrected
by eliminating such through traffic in the area of the high school;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Santa Ana Unified
and Junior College District may cause to be erected permanent
barricades across Parton Street parallel to and at the north curb
line of Pine Street and parallel to and at the south curb line of
Walnut Street for the purpose of effecting the closure of Patton
Street between Walnut and Pine Streets, such closure to be permanent
unless ordered by resolution of this body to be opened.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Director of Public Works
shall erect or cause to be erected appropriate signs giving notice
of such street closure.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That by this Resolution the City of
Santa Ana does not surrender its title or any portion thereof in or to
said street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the ~ day of October, 1966.
