HomeMy WebLinkAbout66-146RESOLUTION 66-146 REQUESTING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FROM THE $5,000,000 GRADE SEPARATION FUND FOR FIRST STREET UNDERPASS (PROJECT 138) AND REPEALING RESOLUTION 65-174 WHEREAS, the California Highway Commission allocated $612,800 for the First Street Underpass from the $5,000,000 Grade Separation Fund in accordance with Section 190 of the Streets and Highways Code; and WHEREAS, the allocation was reduced to $595,425 based on the City's estimate submitted on June 3, 1964, and the balance reverted for other purposes; and WHEREAS, the final project cost will exceed said City estimate due in large part to increased right of way costs; and WHEREAS, the final allocation needed is $620,725.82 rather than $595,425; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana, the County of Orange, and the two railroads have adequate funds available for their respective shares of the final cost. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: (1) That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby request an additional allocation of $25,300.82 from the $5,000,000 Grade Separation Fund. (2) That Resolution 65-174 is hereby repealed. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of November, 1966.
