PROPERTY CONTRACTS AND ACCEPTING GRANT DEEDS
FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR CIVIC CENTER
PROJECT NO. 401
WHEREAS, the Department of Real Property Services of the
County of Orange, acting for and on behalf of the City of Santa Ana,
has negotiated and conditionally delivered to the City Real Property
Contracts and Deeds executed by grantors, as hereinbelow set out,
each conveying a parcel of real property for Civic Center Project
No. G.A. 401; and
WHEREAS, HARRIET E. GEORGE ALLEC, a married woman, and
HARRIET E. ALLEC as Guardian for the estate of WM. ALAN GEORGE,
incompetent, has executed a deed dated October 13, 1966, conveying
to the City of Santa Ana real property located on the north side of
Fourth Street, east of Parton Street, and designated as Parcel
No. 193, for a consideration of $32,000.00; and
WHEREAS, ~MA FLEISCHMAN has executed a deed dated
October 26, 1966, conveying to the City of Santa Ana real property
located on the north side of Fourth Street, west of Ross Street,
and designated as Parcel No. 204, for a consideration of
$40,000.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Real Property Contracts for the City; that the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance thereon.
The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to issue his
warrants in the amounts as specified above to the grantors or their
assigns and to deliver each warrant as directed by said Department of
Real Property Services to the grantor or his assigns when the City
has received title to the parcel of real property conveyed by said
grantor as hereinabove set out.
