QUITCLAIM DEED TO ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL
DISTRICT
WHEREAS, heretofore, by Resolution 62-59, the City of Santa
Aha accepted an offer of the Orange County Flood Control District
for the exchange of properties in and along the Santa Ana River
Channel and the Santiago Creek Channel for the purpose of widening
and improving said Channels to facilitate the removal of storm
waters; and
WHEREAS, the City still owns two parcels of land within the
Santiago Creek right of way which should be quitclaimed to the said
Flood Control District to carry into effect a portion of said
exchange of properties;
NOW, THEREFOP~E, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed
quitclaiming to the Orange County Flood Control District the real
property lying within the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State
of California, described as:
~_~_ . .easement for the purpose of improving, widening, straightening
and maintaining the Channel of Santiago Creek to facilitate the
removal of storm waters,in, over and across the following
described parcels of land:
Parcel 1: Beginning at a point which bears South 17° 01' 00"
West 28.61 feet from a point which is 255.51 feet West of a
point on the East line of Section 2, Township 5 South, Range 10
West, S.B.B.&/~., 1179.98 feet Southerly from the northeast
corner of said Section 2; running thence South 72" 59' 00" East
137.83 feet to a point, thence North 63" 29' 50" West 139.74
feet to a point; thence South 17° 01' 00" West 23.03 feet to
the point of beginning.
Parcel 2: Beginning at a point which bears North 89" 12' 20"
West 60 feet from a point on the East line of Section 2, Township
5 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B.&M., 1263.47 feet Southerly from
the Northeast corner of said Section 2; thence South 0" 47' 40"
West 5.15 feet to a point; thence Northwesterly along the arc of
a curve concave Northeasterly, from a tangent which bears South
76" 51' 38" East, having a radius of 660.00 feet through a central
angle of 3, 29' 29" an arc length of 40.22 feet to a point;
thence South 82" 25' 20" East 39.28 feet to the point of
beginning;
and deliver the same to the Orange County Flood Control District,
400 West 8th Street, Santa Ana, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 16th d~y of January, 1~67.
