MAIN STREET AT McFADDEN AVENUE AND PROHIBITING
PARKING IN SAID AREA
WHEREAS, McFadden Avenue in Santa Aha carries an increasing
volume of traffic, requiring increased capacity to handle the traffic
flow at Main Street; and
WHEREAS, such increased capacity can be provided by
channelization for separate left turn lanes on Main Street which
would require the removal of curbside parking on the west side of
Main Street from a point 135 feet north of the north curb line of
McFadden Avenue to Russell Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Main Street shall be
channelized for left turn storage lanes for East and West McFadden
Avenue, and that for this purpose curbside parking shall be forbidden
at all times on the west side of Main Street from a point 135 feet
north of the north curb line of McFadden Avenue to Russell Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this Resolution shall take
effect upon the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the ~6th day of January, 1967.
