OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO PERMIT THE COUNTY
CLERK OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES
TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, RELATING TO THE CONDUCT
OF A GENF~RAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN
SAID CITY ON APRIL 4, 1967.
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in the
City of Santa Ana on April 4, 1967; and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in
relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and
polling place inserts to the registered voters of the City, and
it will facilitate such mailing if the county Clerk of the County
of Orange will prepare and furnish the City the imprinting of the
names and addresses of the registered voters of said City on I.B.M.
polling place inserts furnished by the City, and, after bursting
the forms, will insert the polling place insert, sample ballot,
arguments, and statements of qualifications, if any, into envelopes,
all to be furnished by the City; and
W~EREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service
shall be paid by the City of Santa Ana~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TH~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA: That pursuant to the provisions of Section
22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California, this
City Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said
County to permit the County Clerk to prepare and furnish to said
City, for use in conducting said election to be held on April 4,
1967, the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered
voters of said City on I.B.M. polling place inserts furnished by
the City and after bursting the forms to insert the polling place
insert sample ballots, arguments, and statements of qualifications,
if any, into envelopes, all to be furnished by the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said City shall reimburse said
County for services performed when the work is completed and upon
presentation to the City of a properly approved bill.
BK IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council is
hereby directed to forward without delay a certified copy of this
resolution to said Board of Supervisors and to said County Clerk.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of February, 1967.
