OF GRANT OF EASEbLENT AND QUITCLAIM DEED
WHEREAS, SOUTHERlq CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY has requested an
easement for the purpose of furnishing electrical energy to the Well
Site on the West side of Cambridge Street and North of Fairhaven Avenue,
on order placed by the City of Santa Ana for such service; and
WHEREAS, heretofore, the owners of certain property located on
the North side of Segerstrom Avenue and East of Susan Street, dedicated
vehicular access rights to the City, and the present owners have now
requested access rights to Segerstrom Avenue, which the City has
determined should be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby
directs the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council to execute that certain
GRANT OF EASEMENT, margin dated 12/6/66, Identity No. 6-1886, to the
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, which is understood between the
parties thereto to be for the sole purpose of conveying electric energy
to be used by the City of Santa Ana for the operation of the City's
Well Site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the
Clerk of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a
deed quitclaiming IN SEVERALTY TO THE VARIOUS OWNERS OF THE UNDERLYING
FEE, AS THEIR RESPECTIVE INTEREST MAY APPEAR OF RECORD, vehicular
access rights to Segerstrom Avenue in the City of Santa Ana, County of
Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Ail vehicular access rights to Segerstrom Avenue over the westerly
25.00 feet of the easterly 48.25 feet and the westerly 25.00 feet
of the easterly 119.75 feet of the following described property;
That portion of Lots 2 and 3 of Tract No. 1013, as shown on a Map
recorded in book 33, page 36 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California, described as follows: Beginning at the
intersection of the Westerly line of that certain strip of land
75.00 feet in width, as described in a deed to the Orange County
Flood Control District, recorded October 31, 1958 in book 4468,
page 450 of Official Records, with the Northerly line of Segerstrom
Avenue, described as Parcel 1 in a deed to the City of Santa Ana,
recorded July 23, 1957 in book 3982, page 409 of Official Records;
thence South 88° 44' 15" West 686.87 feet along said Northerly line
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northeasterly having a
radius of 25.00 feet, being the same curve described as Parcel 3
in a deed to the City of Santa Ana, recorded November 28, 1960
in book 5525, page 328 of Official Records, thence Westerly,
Northwesterly and Northerly along said curve through a central angle
of 89° 56' 00" a distance of 39.24 feet; thence tangent to said
curve along the Easterly line of Susan Street, described as Parcel 1
in said deed to the City of Santa Ana last above described North
1° 19' 45" West 585.65 feet; thence North 88° 44' 15" East 715.32
feet parallel with the centerline of said Segerstrom Avenue to the
westerly line of said land of the Orange County Flood Control
District; thence South 1° 00' 08" East 610.63 feet to the point
of beginning,
and deliver the same to the Clerk of the Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of February, 1967.
