HomeMy WebLinkAbout67-049RESOLUTION NO. 67-49 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA EXPRESSING OPPOSITION TO PROPOSED ASSEMBLY BILL NO. 421 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has become aware of the nature and content of Assembly Bill No. 421; and WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that the enactment of Assembly Bill No. 421 would result in unwarranted and unnecessary extension of time within which workmen's compensation benefits could be sought; and WHEREkS, such proposed extended periods within which claims may be filed would invite the occurrence and concurrence of subsequent injuries to affect earlier injuries in no way related to any subsequent disability. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby expresses its opposition to Assembly Bill No. 421. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of April, 1967.
