HomeMy WebLinkAbout67-065RESOLUTION 67-65 ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAME FOR SAID TERRITORY OF "SILVER DRIVE WEST ANNEX", AND GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON WHEREAS, heretofore the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved the description of territory herein- below contained and annexation of said territory to the City of ,' Santa Ana, california, and the Santa Ana Planning Commission has approved the annexation of said territory. A petition requesting annexation of said territory, signed by the owners of all of said territory, has been presented to this City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939; hereby finds and declares that all of the owners of said territory have petitioned for annexation to Santa Ana; that said territory is uninhabited within the meaning of Government Code Section 35303 on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block B of Tract No. 336, as shown on a map recorded in Book 5, page 23, of Miscellaneous Maps records of Orange County, California, said point being the southeast corner of "Annexation No. 77" to the City of Garden Grove as adopted by Garden Grove City Ordinance 292-A, said point lying on the Westerly line of the "West Santa Ana Annex" to the City of Santa Ana as adopted by Santa Aha City Ordinance NS-367, said point being the southeast corner of that certain parcel of land as shown on a survey recorded in Book 38, page 49, Records of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence North 0° 29' 15" West along said City boundary of the City of Santa Ana a distance of 264.00 feet to the Northeast corner of said Record of Survey and to the northeast corner of that certain parcel of land de-annexed by the City of Garden Grove by Resolution NO. 3300-67, dated March 7, 1967; thence departing from said City boundary of Santa Aha South 89" 24' 00" West along the Northerly line of said parcel of land de-annexed by the City of Garden Grove a distance of 165.00 feet to the northwest corner of said Record of Survey and to an angle point in said parcel of land de-annexed by the City of Garden Grove; thence South 0° 29' 15" East along the Westerly line of said parcel of land de-annexed by the City of Garden Grove a distance of 264.00 feet to the Southwest corner of said Record of Survey and to the Southerly line of said"Annexation No. 77" to the City of Garden Grove and to an angle point in said parcel of land de-annexed by the City of Garden Grove; thence North 89° 24' 00" East along the Southerly line of said parcel of land de-annexed by the City of Garden Grove and along the southerly line of said "Annexation No. 77" to the City of Garden Grove a distance of 165.00 feet to the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That "SILVER DRIVE WEST ANNEX" is hereby designated as an appropriate name by which said territory shall be known for the purpose of this annexation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That notice is hereby given that June 5, 1967, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Aha, california, is the time and place fixed a~ which said Council will hear protests against this annexation made by any owner of property within the City of Santa Ana who does not own property in the territory to be annexed, all as provided for in Section 35310.1 of the Government,Code of the State of California. -1- PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of May, 1967.
