CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING
THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND
THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS AND MAKING FINDINGS
RELATING THERETO
The City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest and necessity demand
the acquisition and construction by said city of a certain muni-
cipal improvement, to wit:
PROPOSITION A - CITY OF SANTA ANA SEWER IMPROV~4ENT AND
STORM DRAIN BONDS
To take preventive measures for the protection
of health, safety and property of the citizens by
developing and enlarging the city's network of storm
drains; and for the purpose of replacement, con-
struction, reconstruction or enlargement of outgrown,
deteriorated or inadequate sewers, shall the city
incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal amount
of Four Million, Five Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand
Dollars for the acquisition, construction and
completion of such facilities?
That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is
$4,595,000. That said municipal improvement requires an expendi-
ture greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual tax
levy and is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects,
purposes and powers of said city.
Section 2. That the public interest and necessity demand
the acquisition and construction by said city of a certain muni-
cipal improvement (which has heretofore been approved by the City
Planning Commission on January 9, 1967, and by this City Council
on January 16, 1967, as constituting a City Plan) to wit:
PROPOSITION B - CITY OF SANTA ANA PUBLIC BUILDING
BONDS
For improving fire and police protection in
critical areas, greater city administrative
efficiency in the City Plan for community build-
ings and improvements, as approved by the City
Planning Commission and the City Council, shall
the City incur a bonded indebtedness in the
principal amount of Five Million Ninety-Five
Thousand Dollars for the acquisition, construction
and completion of needed facilities, including a
new city hall, and to include such lands as
required, furnishings and essential facilities for
these public buildings?
That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is
$5,095,000. That said municipal improvement requires an expendi-
ture greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual tax
levy and is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects,
purposes and powers of said city.
Section 3. That the public interest and necessity demand
the acquisition and construction by said city of a certain
municipal improvement, to wit:
PROPOSITION C - CITY OF SANTA ANA STREET BONDS
For the purpose of improving the city's streets
and thoroughfares as a means of providing greater
safety and convenience for motorists and pedestrians
alike, to include replacement, relocation and widen-
ing of the street system throughout the city, improved
street lighting and related facilities as required,
shall the City incur a bonded indebtedness in the
principal amount of Eleven Million, Four Hundred
Fifteen Thousand Dollars for the acquisition, con-
struction and completion of such streets and for
related lighting equipment?
That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is
$11,415,000. That said municipal improvement requires an
expenditure greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual
tax levy and is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects,
purposes and powers of said city.
Section 4. That the public interest and necessity demand
the acquisition and construction by said city of a certain muni-
cipal improvement, to wit:
PROPOSITION D - CITY OF SANTA ANA COMMUNITY PARKS
AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BONDS
To improve, develop and expand the parks and
recreational services of the City, including land
acquisition, improvement of existing park sites,
construction of required buildings, and furnishing
of essential equipment, shall the City incur a
bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of Three
Million, Eight Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars
for land acquisition, construction and completion of
such facilities?
That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is
$3,895,000. That said municipal improvement requires an expendi-
ture greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual tax
levy and is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects,
purposes and powers of said city.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of January, 1967.

that it was adopted by a vote of two-thirds of the members of
said City Council, to wit:
