TO VACATE A PORTION OF SAN LORENZO AVENUE BETWEEN
BRISTOL STREET AND SEGERSTROM AVENUE, AND GIVING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEA~ING THEREON
WHEREAS, a request for the vacation of certain street right
of way on San Lorenzo Avenue, between Bristol Street and Segerstrom
Avenue, herein described, has been received by the City, and the
Department of Public Works and the Planning Commission have recommended
that a public hearing be set on the question of said vacation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby
approves the map attached hereto and orders the same filed with the
original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council,
and reference is hereby made to said map for the exterior boundaries
of said right of way proposed to be vacated.
The City Council declares its intention to proceed under the
provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Sections 8300 through
8374 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California) to
vacate those portions of San Lorenzo Avenue lying between Bristol
Street and Segerstrom Avenue in the City of Santa Ana, County of
Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 1:
Commencing at the intersection of the center lines of Bristol
Street and San Lorenzo Avenue as shown on a map filed in Book 85,
page 6, of Records of Survey in the office of the Recorder of
Orange County, California, and running thence South 89" 21' 36"
East along the center line of said San Lorenzo Avenue 416.94 feet;
thence South 00" 38' 24" West 30.00 feet to the South line of said
San Lorenzo Avenue, and to a point on the arc of a curve concave
Northwesterly having a radius of 230.00 feet, and to the TRUE
POINT OF BEGINNING, the radial to said curve at said point bears
South 00" 38' 24" West; thence Northeasterly along the arc of said
curve through a central angle of 3" 52' 58" an arc distance of
15.59 feet to a point of compound curvature with a tangent curve
concave Northwesterly having a radius of 958.00 feet; thence
Northeasterly along the arc of said curve through a central angle
of 2" 9' 53" an arc distance of 36.19 feet to a point on a non
tangent line; thence North 89" 21' 36" West 393.06 feet; thence
South 45" 46' 14" West 14.18 feet to a point on a line which is
60.00 feet Easterly, measured at right angles, from said center
line of Bristol Street; thence South 0" 54' 04" West along said
parallel line 34.88 feet to a point on a tangent curve concave
Southeasterly having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence Northeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 89" 44' 20" an arc
distance of 39.16 feet to a tangent line; thence South 89° 21'
36" East along said South line of San Lorenzo Avenue 332.19 feet
to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
PARCEL 2:
Commencing at the intersection of the center lines of Bristol
Street and San Lorenzo Avenue as shown on a map filed in Book 85,
page 6, of Records of Survey in the office of the Recorder of
Orange County, California, and running thence South 89" 21' 36"
East along the center line of said San Lorenzo Avenue 60.00 feet;
thence North 00" 54' 04" East 20.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING; thence North 00" 54' 04" East 15.06 feet to a point on
a non tangent curve concave Northeasterly having a radius of 25.00
feet, the radial to said curve at said point bears South 37" 45' 17"
West; thence Southeasterly along said curve through a central angle
of 37" 06' 53" an arc distance of 16.19 feet to a tangent line,
and to the North line of said San Lorenzo Avenue; thence South
89" 21' 36" East along said North line 341.69 feet to the beginning
of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of 170.00
feet; thence Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle
of 21" 59' 53" an arc distance of 65.27 feet to a non tangent line;
thence South 33" 55' 58" West 23.06 feet to a non tangent curve
concave Northwesterly having a radius of 200.00 feet; thence
Southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of
20° 51' 03" an arc distance of 72.78 feet to a tangent line that
is parallel with and 10.00 feet Northerly, measured at right
angles, from said center line of San Lorenzo Avenue; thence
North 89° 21' 36" West along said parallel line 326.72 feet;
thence North 44° 13' 45" West 14.11 feet to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That August 7th, 1967, at the hour
of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main
Streets, Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and
place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said
proposed street vacation.
The Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish this
Resolution once in The Register, and the Director of Public Works is
ordered to post notices of street vacation conspicuously along the
line of said street, stating the passage of this Resolution of
Intention to Vacate and the time and place of hearing thereon. Said
notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least
three (3) such notices shall be posted. Both publication and posting
shall be completed at least ten (10) days before the date of hearing.

Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of July,~
