PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING A VARIANCE ON
VARIANCE APPLICATION NO. 67-54 FILED BY JAMES G.
AND EVERETT MARKUM, SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE CONDITIONS
WHEREAS, after hearing on notice, the Planning Commission
DENIED a variance on Variance Application No. 67-54 filed by JAMES
G. and EVERETT MARKUM, and Appeal Application No. 191 was duly
filed by said applicants presenting the matter to the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing on notice,
has determined that said Variance Application meets the requirements
of Section 9250.8 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code; that the decision
of the Planning Commission should be overruled; and that the said
Variance should be granted subject to applicable conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha does hereby overrule the decision of the Planning
Commission and does hereby grant a variance on Variance Application
No. 67-54 to permit the construction of a medical office building
at 612 West Edinger Avenue, Santa Aha, Cali~rnia, in an R-1 District;
said Variance is granted subject to the following applicable
conditions:
1. That development be according to the approved plot plan except
for minor modifications approved by the Planning Department;
That a detailed landscape plan be submitted to the Planning
Department for approval, and that all landscaping be
implemented according to the approved plan and be continuously
maintained;
3. That all signs be according to P District regulations.
THE FOLLOWING CONDITION IS TO BE COMPLIED WITH PRIOR TO ISSUANCE
OF UTILITIES RELEASE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING SAFETY AND HOUSING:
4. That the owner place full width sidewalk on Parton Street.
